DAYS

New Excel function in Excel 2013

The DAYS function calculates the number of days between two dates. This is similar to the DATEDIF function.

Syntax

DAYS(end_date,start_date)

The end_date and start_date can be a cell reference or a value.

Comments

The same results can be obtained by subtracting two excel dates from each other. The advantage of the DAYS function is that if it passed a date string, it will use the DATEVALUE function to turn it into a date

Tip

If you only want the working days between two dates use the NETWORKDAYS function.
