Turn off automatic date hierarchy in Power BI

When a date is included in a table, Power BI will automatically create a date hierarchy of Day, Month, Quarter, Year.

Navigate to File - Options and Settings - Options

Navigate to Current File - Data Load

Untick Auto Date/Time (under Time Intelligence)

Date hierarchies in the existing file will be removed.

Date hierarchies will not be automatically created when new dates are added.
